There Are Many Myths About Cardio
In my years writing for the fitness industry, I have heard many different opinions about exercise and weight loss.
One of the things I heard years ago, and it seemed right to me that if you’re heavier than you want to be, you should lose weight through cardio exercises. Only then you should start a program of weight training to strengthen your muscles. The theory was that the weight training closes in your size you started with. Of course, we now know that this is a myth! Weight training builds muscle, which, in turn, builds fat, which, in turn, causes weight loss. The more muscle you have, the more efficient your body is burning fat and losing weight.
Another myth about cardio is that you need to do it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. We now know that is unreasonable, as well to exercise at any time, speed your metabolism and keeps it above.
Myth number 3 on cardio only burning fat while in the fat-burning zone. It was proved that you only burn a few extra calories than if you do nothing. Short, broke exercises are a proven way to burn fat.
Myth number 4 states that you only burn fat after 20 minutes of card so that the first 20 minutes does not count? This is so funny, I do not think I should tell you that this is nonsense. Our bodies are continuing to burn fat, especially if we keep the fire stoked with plenty of exercise and healthy eating
